Protein Bars - Good or Bad?

For me Protein Bars are something I have more or less daily. For me there are a ton of benefits to having a protein bar but the biggest one is I don’t feel like I am depriving myself of something sweet and like most people I like the naughty things. The things that taste good but don’t really have any nutritional value to them whatsoever, in this case chocolate.
Make no bones about it a protein bar is a chocolate bar still, it just happens to have a lot of protein. Now protein like all food groups has a huge impact on the way our body functions, it helps repair muscle and muscle in return helps burn fat and so it should play a big part in anyone nutrition.
I personally get bored of certain foods quickly but at the same time I don’t really have a varied diet, I tend to have the same things all the time so for me having something sweet is important otherwise I don’t enjoy my food as much. And if you have a bad relationship with food long term whatever your diet is like it will fail.
So for me regardless of the protein value the simple fact I can have something sweet and high in protein which also helps fill you up is a no brainer.
